I was watching Hickok45's review on the CZ P10C, when he said something that caught my attention. Basically it was along the lines of "it's not a company killer, but it might be a personal Glock killer."
I thought that was pretty interesting take on the phrase. I'm not big on Glocks simply because they don't really fit my hand all that well. That's not to say that I think poorly of Glock, because I don't, I recognize that they have had a tremendous effect on the pistol market, and have earned they're reputation for reliability the only way they can: they've been there and done it, and did it reliably.
However, I like what Hickok said about "personal Glock killers." I think other manufacturers have begun putting out pistols that can finally hold their own against the time proven Glock. While most don't have the aftermarket support, I think it is now possible to have something equal to the Glock that isn't a Glock.
In short, I foresee a day when some company comes up with a product that kills Glock the company; but I think that the market is opening up with options that are equal to the Glock. With things like the M&P becoming more popular, perhaps one day we will see mags priced similar to those of the Glock, and more compatibility with other firearms. Anyways, just kind of my random thought for the morning.
