Are MRE illegal in Australia as well?

Australian army MRE are illegal to have for civilians. Are other MRE fall in to that category as well? Like US or Russian ration packs?
Have anybody ordered them here?
I also hear a rumor that it is illegal to have chemical heaters here as well, is that true?
