Today, January 19, is the birthday of General Robert E. Lee. His life had poignant moments of great joy and terrible humiliation. Yet through it all he held to his moral foundation and left us a legacy of honor.
Let us take a moment to remember one of the greatest gentlemen this country ever produced. In action and in word he left us a model we should never forget, as well as words we should always cherish:
"Duty is the sublimest word in the English language. Do your duty in all things. You can never do more, and you should never wish to do less."
Anyone want to join me in a toast?
To Heroes; Including You, General Lee
