Tactical Assault Kit for Android

Did a search of this site via google and found only one reference to this, mentioned by Bogeyman in the Minuteman thread.

To summarize, it's an Android app that provides real time updated map data of location of teammates and has a bunch of other features, including being able to draw things on the screen that other teammates can see. I can see a lot of value for this if SHTF, depending on the situation.

I'd guess that not a lot of people have direct experience with this except cutting edge SF guys or really big police departments.

Who knows about this? And what would be a civilian equivalent? Because I don't think any old joe can just get this.
