Left handed ar-15?

Hi guys,

First a short explanation, i am left handed and i mostly shot .38 and 9'' guns before, i did a bit of AK-47 several years ago but not enough to get good at it

So after thinking about it for a day or so i asked a friend to let me try again, he owns an AR-15 and he was ok with this, so we went to try, i decided to handle it as left handed even though before i have used the AK as a right handed person but i had a hard time trying to figure it out like that, i did not get good at all, had better luck with the other guns but rifles and such i was terrible because of the left handed issue

So i went and shot a few rounds. After a few shots went down a case came flying into my left eye, lucky me had my glasses on so it just hit there and went away

So i was wondering, how do you go about having a left handled AR-15? Is that even a thing that works well? I looked a bit on the web and i found some people talking about it but saying it has to be manually built to be left handed

I thought maybe people around here may know more about this or know how to build one?

Alternatively, are there any good glasses which can handle the constant hitting of cases flying out from the wrong side?

How do you go about this in general, is there a strategy about how to handle a right handed gun when being left handed? So as to not get your face full of cases or having to constantly be in the look up for one flying to your eye?

Thanks in advance for your help

Also i feel very exited about getting back into shooting again, i loved it back then i don't even know why i quit for so many years
