Boot camp advice

So, my nephew is in boot camp at Fort Sill. Been there since May 18th. Sister gave me a mailing address and I intend to write him a letter.

My question is, when is it best for him to receive that letter? And when should I send it to get it to him by then?

I understand there's point in boot camp where most folks hit a wall they have to punch through. That's when I would like for him to get it. I know everyone is different, but on average, when's the best time? Also, I have no idea how long it takes them to process the mail so I'm really more interested in when I should send it.

Any assistance on the timing would be much appreciated.
