Getting back into reloading

I used to reload a considerable amount, moved about 10 years ago and just never set stuff up,

Only press I had is a old Pacific single stage, few years ago I picked up a roughly 10 foot counter to use as a bench and a Lee Turret press, counter is in place turret press is still in box.

I've also been collecting lead for 40 years, not really looking but when I happen across lead I brought it home, have few hundred lbs.of misc lead.

I've collected a few molds,a Lyman electric pot, basically everything needed to get started through the years, today first time I ever messed with lead, started with lead I've saved from .22 bullet trap ended up with 7 and a half 1lb bars.

With ammo shortage, all the stuff I've collected through the years and coming to the conclusion that I'm getting to the age I need to slow down working a little,(my health is starting to suffer from all the 16+ hour days) its time to save a few bucks on ammo, plus it can be enjoyable reloading,I think I'll enjoy casting bullets more then reloading.

I picked up a Lee Hand Press couple days ago on a whim,I've decapped and sized 2 3lb coffee can fulls of .32 brass consisting of .327,.32H&R,and 32 long, last 2 evenings while just chilling in evenings with hand press.

I'll dig out hand primer tomorrow and start priming and sorting brass.Sometime this week I want to try my hand at casting some .32 bullets.

Is anyone else getting back into reloading,or getting started reloading now that ammo is scarce?

Let's block ads! (Why?)
