Bows are quiet, that's their best feature. You could make arrows for a long or recurve bow if you had too.

Bow fishing can be productive in the shallows or off a platform. I hunted upstream with wood arrows equipped with the proper spent cartridge as blunts. Misses will float back to you.

I have shot birds out of the air with both pistols and rifles but never with a bow.
