The great falling away

2 Thessalonians 2

1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

Me and my wife have about a 30 minute drive to our church. Being in the Bible Belt we pass about 10 churches every Sunday on our way to church. There were not more than 20 cars in the parking lot in any of them. Now I know some people have a legitimate fear of COVID I can only comment on my church and I can tell y’all at the church I’m a member of the old and sickly are the ones who are still coming. 90% of the ones that don’t come anymore are not coming because they just don’t want to. I believe the “falling away” started slow before the COVID but now it is on a whole nother level. My question to y’all is do y’all believe we are seeing another fulfillment of prophecy going on right now?
