Over the past few months I've watched the debacles on death row killings and worried over and pondered it.

My main question is: if veterinarians can kill large animals with drugs, why can't those same drugs be used in our present penal system.

Yes, I don't know all of the issues, which is why I am asking this question.

I suppose above a certain weight, most animals (cows, horses) are simply shot in the brain pan. But what is the weight a human can be "put down," a horrible term, but killing is horrible.

If we are using drugs in our penal system to kill humans, what is it with all these multiple drug combinations?

If we have drugs that kill large animals within minutes, why can't they be used on humans? We're killing them, for gods' sake, within, hopefully minutes. Does it matter whether or not the drugs are for humans or for animals?
