A million Texans licensed to carry

The number of Texans licensed to carry a handgun has just exceeded the 1 million mark, and it’s still growing everyday.

Executive Director of Texas Carry, Terry Holcomb, commented on this trend. He said, “We couldn’t be happier but are not surprised. I predicted exactly this would happen when testifying the Senate.”

Holcomb and his group Texas Carry was responsible for Texas becoming the 45th state to legalize open carry of a handgun. “Now, on to removing the immoral tax to exercise this God given right,” Holcomb stated.

Even with the number of Texas concealed handgun licenses exceeding 1 million, it’s only ranked at number two. Florida still boasts the highest numbers, about 1.5 million, but Texas licenses are increasing at an astronomical rate.
