It seems that lately I've gotten bit by the digital modes bug and have been looking into some other cool aspects of the idea. One thing that's come up is using an android device to do PSK31 using an app and a sound card interface. Does anyone have any experience with this?
The app is PSKDroid and the interface is something like this:

Having made a few psk31 contacts now I can see that this mode could have a use in a survival situation. Having an easy way to get going that doesn't use a lot of power could be one benefit.
