Tokarev: 7.62mm mags in a 9mm?

I picked up a Norinco M213 Tokarev in 9mm a couple days back. Okay, it was kind of an impulse buy. It was 175 bucks total, and I couldn't pass it up. I love communist guns...and anything else made by the sovietskis and the Chinese. MUCH more than I love their socio-political ideology. I even own an airborne spetsnaz telnyashka, and the wife loves it, but that's a different story.

Anyway, I would say that 9mm tokarev mags are scarcer than hens' teeth, but it's more like finding a 9mm mag for a 213 is like finding a unicorn. A unicorn that is having a **** tea party with a velociraptor and Jimmy Hoffa in Atlantis. In other words, I can't find them anywhere. So rather than wait for the eonical grand galactic alignment, when I assume I can find 9mm Tokarev magazines, hand delivered by pretty blonde spetsnaz girls my wife will let me drink vodka with, I was wondering about using existing 7.62X25 magazines.

The question:

Can I use, with little or no modification, 7.62X25mm Tokarev magazines in my 9mm Tok? I have heard rumors on the internet that it is possible, and stories that it doesn't work. Anyone have any experience doing this, or think it's worth at least investing in a couple mags and trying it?

Welcoming any armorers, gunsmiths or fellow SA/LW experts to help me solve this conundrum.
