My first child, my daughter, is five weeks old. I believe she has been experiencing acid reflux for a few weeks at least, though the past few days have been the worst. She has all the symptoms: won't sleep on her back, comfort feeding, crying within an hour of feeding, constantly arching her back, excess saliva. The past couple days her voice has been hoarse from all the extra crying. Got a prescription for Zantac from the pediatrician today, hoping to see quick results. I believe it's .5 ml twice daily at 15 mg/ml concentration (can't check, she is asleep on me and I don't want to wake her). It's terrible hearing your baby scream, and I mean scream. She's putting on weight great and hits all the milestones perfectly, it's just this stupid acid reflux has her miserable. My wife is exhausted, emotionally and physically so I took the next two weeks off to help her around the house. It's 2:45 am here right now, I've been up since 2:20 and need to watch her (she's propped up at an angle on a pillow and I don't want her to fall) until her next feeding at 4:00. Can't move lest I wake her (she really needs her sleep too). Anyone else had any kids with acid reflux?
