I live here in Florida that doesn't really ever suffer from a shortage of rainfall.
I have limited space for water storage (about a 60 day supply) and of course there are lakes close by.
But I'm most curious about catching rain in barrels. Considering I've seen diagrams on how to provide preliminary filtration and then overflow barrels.
What is the most efficient way to use this water once you've got it in a barrel?
I'd like to use some to drink and more to bathe. Obviously roof runoff is contaminated with bird poop and various other bugs. Starting a giant daily fire is also sort of out of the question.
So I wanted to get some of the expert opinions out there as to how to proceed.
