Homestead Hunt / Land Search

I'll be traveling for the rest of 2016 and most of 2017 searching for land.

My primary areas will be Colorado, Oregon, Washington, and Montana. I have two objectives.

1. Primary residence (on 20+acres)

2. Land Trust with several other liked minded folks (a bunch of us have recently retired) to drastically increase acreage/terrain controlled.

Please let me know if there are preferred Realtors in said areas or if ya'll have any pitfalls (that only locals see) for me to avoid.

If I should post this in a different forum, please advise.

No fooling, I pick up the RV Monday from the shop (i'ts been in storage).
