I have something very similar to this but instead of a shoulder strap it has a waist belt with a side release buckle. It does not attach to my belt so I can take it off without reaching behind me. I can also wear it without another belt or sling it over my shoulder. I normally keep the kit in my trucks toolbox, especially when out in the woods. It's cheap but doesn't hold any significant weight and so far seems to repel water and the zippers haven't bound up, which is a big deal if you are in a hurry.
