Is the 22 mag underated?

I had one several years ago, but couldn't figure out what it did best.
Too lite for coyote IMHO, too much for squirrel... I guess if something between the two was an issue it'd be golden?
Heard of it being used vs. prairie dogs, but I haven't.

Cool round though, I'm tempted to get one of the Kel Tec CM30 carbines just because, like an AR lite.
