Personally i like the idea of a zombie apocalypse however i know it is not possible not a true zombie anyway. Something like the creatures in I am legend is possible though, or the infected in the John Ringo Black Tide Rising book series (a flue outbreak with a 2nd stage that makes them think they are covered in bugs or snakes or what have you so they strip naked to avoid death by impaction of feces). A true zombie however is not possible since the muscles would be to stiff from rigor, ligaments would not longer stay attached due to decomposition so the muscles would not even stay connected to the bone for long. only way the undead zombies we all love to watch in movies could exist is through constant magical force or advanced nano tech making up for the whole array of side effects of you know being a dead body lol.

However i dont think it is crazy to prep for the zombie apoc because if you prep for that you are literally prepped for any possible scenario that is survivable. obviously if a nearby black hole hit is with a gamma ray burst nothing would survive that even the stuff living in deep ocean thermal vents lol. People who make fun of us preppers dont understand the logic of if you prep for the big stuff you are prepared for the small stuff. Like a tornado, earthquake, fire, hurricane, local power grid being knocked out ect...

Having been through a fire and the after math of a tornado it would have sucked to not have any preps set aside in those cases those on site where mostly destroyed but my buried caches where right where left em. which allowed me to do some camping for a few weeks while i got things back in order.

Just explain to the nay sayers the real truth behind prepping the logic and common sense may just sneak through their tin foil hat
