I read so much about all of the "spying" these large companies do on us people who use their "Free" services and how they keep our data and use it in the name of "advertising....."
Most of us who use "smart" phones fail to realize that our cell phones are beyond "smart"..... they are freaking SUPERINTELLIGENT: http://ift.tt/WcmBva
I had a cellphone way back when cellphones first started being able to hold music, and this cellphone I had had a built in am/fm radio... I think it was sony-ericsson to be exact...
A quick google search right now just led me to some more answers to the question I am trying to pose here and that is that our cell phones are still equipped with this technology.... this NPR post is from 2015.. two years ago... its 2017.... our phones are now able to do things that many of us have the slightest clue they can do..... but maybe some of you folks here DO know....
What I am getting at, and I am sorry for this poorly written opening post, but is it possible that our cellphones are re-directing the metadata from our phone and somehow making this information available to the radios in our car? so when a radio station cuts to commercial breaks, do they have the ability to harvest the data from our phones and use one of their commercials within their commercial database to target us for advertising?
And even beyond just radios - can our cable television provider pick up on our metadata from our phones/computers and apply the same concept that I just mentioned into television commercials?
I hope this makes sense
question about my AM/FM radio and the possibilities out there
