As a prepper, I am always looking for some kind of affordable and reliable firearm to use a handout in the event of a SHTF event.

It does not even have to be a handout firearm. The shotgun could be used for snakes when working around the farm, on a boat, when checking on the chickens late at night. Just something that can get scratched up and it is no big deal.
