Quick question on L-Band

I have been looking at the outernet for a little project, and the:

L-Band Air Gap Patch Antenna RHCP 1525 - 1559 MHz 8 dBi 4in SMA Male Connector

that is used is no longer available anywhere. I plan on making my own, but the only one I found was on ebay for $300, which is really ridiculous considering the cost is cheap to make, and outernet sold the whole kit for $99.

I was just wandering, where did all the antennas go?

I may just be crazy...
