Hi all. While looking for a light for my Mossberg 500, I came upon this website. Liked what I saw and then joined.
I am retired, sort of, and have a part time wood working business. I make plaques mostly, using two CNC machines and the normal wood working shop tools.
I am a Navy Veteran. First four years I was a Boiler Tech, serving 38 months on a DLG. That is a large TinCan. Then went to the Seabees for another six years, as a Utilitiesman. I loved the Seabees but left due to problems with my first wife and my children. Divorced her, raised my two kids, married my wife, had three more kids, all grown now. Eight delightful grandchildren so far too.
Spent my civilian career in several sorts of jobs, all related to controls systems.
I am a Amateur Radio operator, NB8X, and enjoy the tech side of it the most. I could spend another lifetime or two exploring it all.
I bought a Mossberg 500 a few months ago. It was my favorite weapon when I was a Seabee, and I know how to use one if needed. Nice that there are so many accessories for them these days; won't have to make my own as in the past. Tonight I installed a Picatinny rail, a sling, and a red dot targeting device. I want to find a good flash light to mount below the barrel. Years ago I use to tape a 6vdc lantern to my 20 gauge for night hunting.
This should be enough for my intro. I hope to get to know you all better.
