I've always loved the wilderness but I've also always know the wilderness cares nothing for me and will gleefully chew me up and spit me out. Still love it though.
I've been through some natural disaster, namely massive storms and floods, the sad part is I was the ONLY one in my neighborhood who was ever prepared. I even had a six person all season raft just in case.
