Remote Control of Car

I hope to ask this without 'Why do you want to do that?' or 'They can't do that' type comments. Feel free to derisively conclude that I'm an idiot and go find fun somewhere else.

I want to ask if anyone knows if cutting the car antenna, or putting in a switch to sever the connection, would stop their ability to do that. Thanks.
