Sources for learning prepping and survival skills

I have come to realize that knowledge and skills are among the best and most valuable things we can accumulate as we prepare for the future. I would like to offer some of the online resources I have found useful in my own studies.

The first is a highly useful, informative and entertaining channel I have found on You Tube called "Townsends" that can be found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCxr...12LulcajAkKJYw.

The creator of this channel produces videos on cooking and other useful skills from the American colonial period, ranging from the early-mid 18th to the early 19th century. He also runs a business that sells reproduction clothes, tools and other items from that period and occasionally refers to the fact that certain of the items being used, presented or explained may be purchased from his company. However, the videos are not like infomercials and the references to the buying opportunities are very unobtrusive.

If you would like to learn a variety of colonial era skills, from cooking a rabbit over an open fire to building an earthen oven, I recommend this site.

Now I would love to learn about learning opportunities, books, seminars, living history resources, etc., that others would like to share.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
