best filter for tap water?

i'm thinking of filtering tap water vs buying spring water and was wondering what the best filters would be to filter out chemicals that typically come with tap water.. i dont think microbes would be a big issue, but things like bleach, lead, fluoride, etc maybe.. so those backpacking filters probably arent going to work that well for this application.. any ideas?

also, i've been drinking almost nothing but bottled water for over 15 years straight with only drinking a brewed drink on rare occasions.. so i definitely taste the difference between tap and bottled, so taste is important too
