Any reason to buy craftsman hand tools?

With Sears going out of business I decided to look for some deals on their hand tools. Even on sale their prices seemed rather high. Then again, Lowes has started selling craftsman.

I went to the autozone website and looked at a comparable socket set. Duralast was a fraction the price of Craftsman, and Duralast has a lifetime warranty.

Why pay $60+ for a craftsman socket set, when a Duralast set cost less than $30?

The same goes for most store brandname tools these days. Just about all auto parts stores carry their own brandname that have a lifetime warranty.

Plus, stanley bought the craftsman name awhile back.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
