Good East Coast relocation option ?

Hello everyone, after a few years in New England enough is enough. Just cannot stand the people or taxes. My significant other and myself would like to make a move to a more free and cheaper place. The taxes, costs and government is outrageous here.

I would like some suggestions on the East Coast, as our families are here, and even though we would consider the west and south, that may not be an option at this time.

We love nature and farming, so while we are fine living near a city, we wouldn’t want to live in one. any suggestions south of NY and NJ would be appreciated (except Florida, too damn hot). Thanks !
