Law Abiding Gun Owners are Self Defeating

For as long as I can remember I've heard the phrase, law abiding gun owner. As a young firearm owner, it just made sense. After all I wont use my guns to commit crime so therefore I'm a law abiding gun owner, right? However in more recent years it has occurred to me as to what happens when the gun is the crime? Will I be a law abiding gun owner then? After all the British attempted to disarm our founding fathers and they went from law abiding to law breaking very fast. If we continue to comply with every gun law that makes us criminals for no other reason than possession are we not self defeating?

You may say; I'll use the guns to fight against tyranny with what I'm legally allowed to own at that time. However, history has shown us that the tyrant never allows the peasant to have anything formidable before he commits his acts of genocide and slavery.

In the end you have to ask your self what the very purpose of the Second Amendment is. Is it for you to own only what you are allowed to own and use that thing when they come pounding on your door? Are you going to comply with all laws no matter what?

I'm fortunate enough to have never had to worry about complying with these laws but I know for some of you in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, California etc have had to cross this bridge. Also if you were a gun owner in 68, 86 or 94 then I'm sure you've had to cross this bridge.

I guess in the end I just keeping hearing over and over again that if such and such law is passed then only criminals will have guns. Well if I'm willing to comply with every gun law that is passed then when the times comes to actually need the Second Amendment you wont be able to resist.

PS. I already know the usual it will never happen here crowd of liberals and statists will input their 2 cents. However I have neither the desire nor time to try to change your mind on the internet. I know you're only here to argue and troll but that is the way of the internet and this site is more friendly to your types then your sites are to ours.
