Assuming you have a pressure tank, the settings on your pressure switch may need adjusting. Most are factory set at 30-50 on/off or 40/60 on/off. Pull the switch cover and you'll find an adjustment screw enclosed by a spring.
If you don't have a pressure tank, get one. Otherwise you'll wear your pump out fast.
