Do you think the 2012 June in March heatwave flipped to the current patterns?

Do you think this was the smoking gun to the current stuck patterns? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_...ican_heat_wave

This year here in Oregon the summer is the most different and until this fire crap happened we had a touch of 2011 and something in the 1950s with a lot of nights in the low 50s/upper 40s which has been absent for many years. The beginning part it felt also like a 19th century feel till mother nature woke up and remembered where we were.

There was also some kind of SSW event up in the north pole that also flipped things around in the ocean and we have more or less remained in a positive +PNA pattern steering weather away from us and the ocean always seems 'red' now on SST charts.

Before this BS we used to have a lot more variety and a lot more blue show up on them ocean charts now the ocean looks like a sick wound that tore open.

However until this fire storm we were once again despite hot afternoons having lows dip in the mid to low 40s which was unusually chilly and we were having akin an inland climate pattern continuously where as last year was a lot of SW flow.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
