Powdered Eggs

The prices come and go. There's no consistent best deal. About the best you can do at the time is shop around, comparing sale prices, etc. Most of mine came from Rainy Day Foods. They had good prices at the time. I've seen a few really good sales since then and wish I had waited.

I will add that there are two types. Powdered eggs and scrambled egg mix. The powdered eggs are just that. The mix also has powdered milk and a fat added. Basically you just add water and it makes scrambled eggs. It's not as good for use in recipes as regular powdered eggs. And powdered eggs don't make good scrambled eggs without adding the milk and fats to it. So use that as your guidelines. Also, the mix has fewer eggs per can, of course, because the milk and fats are taking up some space.
