maps to have on-hand in a SHTF?

I was looking for advice and suggestions on what maps to have on-hand in a SHTF.

Needing to know how to get from here to there, across town, across your county, or across a state. If GPS and the Internet are down, paper maps could be a lifesaver. Either in your home, your vehicle, or BOB.

Can anyone recommend any good, portable atlas, reference? What kinds of maps would be best to have on hand?
