I bought a new CB to augment the 70cm radio that I have in my truck. I hooked it up to a lighter plug and connected a cheapy Midland mag mount antenna. I get all sorts of engine noise in the radio that cuts out if I disconnect the antenna. The noise also goes away if I shut off the engine. I'm not terribly impressed with the Midland antenna in the first place and am wondering if that is my problem. Any suggestions?
