Advice on buying a new pistol.

As summer is quickly approaching, the need for a more concealable pistol is becoming all too apparent. Regardless of the arrangements of holsters and clothing, I can't find a comfortable and concealable means of carrying anything in my current inventory of pistols. So, I'm looking at the various offerings available and could use some advice.

The pistol I'm looking for would be a 9mm, with a single-stack magazine. Would prefer a polymer frame and striker fired deal. So far, I looked at the S&W Shield, Ruger LC9, Springfield XDS and the Glock 43. I'm not attached to any particular brand, just want a reliable and reasonably accurate pistol to carry. There's likely plenty of others which I have yet to see.

The only pistol that I've ruled out so far was the Walther PPS. I've had terrible luck with every Walther pistol that I brought home. All of them were ammo picky which I don't want to deal with again. Don't get me wrong, Walther makes very accurate and ergonomic pistols, yet the reliability issues scare me away from them.

Any thoughts/opinions?
