Keeping food cold when car camping for 7+ days

If I plan to camp for several days, I always use block ice, whole and in chunks.
It last much longer than cubed ice.

For extended day camps or for Baja fishing trips, I go with two large coolers.
One filled with whole block ice, and one with dry ice.
Anything that can be frozen ahead of time will go into the block ice cooler, and frozen stuff in dry ice transfers over when needed.
I can go for ten plus days this way in the summer Baja heat.

I've never tried any plug in type of cooler.
