Hello, I'm in Southern California (hellhole) and I was looking to purchase my first rifle. I was wondering if it is legal to own an SKS? Not sure if there has been a recent thread on this matter but the last one I saw was 6 years ago. Anyway, if they are legal, can you modify the stock with one those conversion kits? and if not is there any good alternative to the SKS that is legal in California?
