Why carry penetrators ccw?

because my EDC is either a shorty 1911 45, or a colt mustang 380, I make a point to switch to FMJ in winter when i know the perps are wearing heavier clothing..but in summer, I'm happy to have JHPs.

in current society..not end of world stuff, there is a huge responsibility for every round you send out the barrel and overpenetration is definitely a concern.

I've cited it several times on threads where we talk about "getting involved" in a crowd, a theater, a church , etc...where a lot of collateral innocents are at risk from your gun if you try to engage the bad guy and play hero.

so, yeah, come end of the world and you think you'll be doing shootouts that need to cut through the door of the gang's Chevy Caprice...sure...toss a mag of punchies in the mix...mark the mag.. i do this with my rifles already...most mags are loaded for soft targets, but should someone seek cover.. I'd like to be able to overcome.
but you'll not find any sort of penetration round in my EDC..legal advice is always use whatever the local LEO use..and I buy that at the local police shop in fact..mainly cause i can get LEO pricing..but also, cause I know that's what the locals are carrying and I want tobe able to say that should I find myself on the witness stand one day.
