Incapacitated while armed

Yesterday on the way home, I was thinking about what would happen if I had a gun on me or in my car and I got into an accident and/or was incapacitated somehow and needed medical assistance.

I started thinking about it after a thread here talking about carrying a gun/rifle in a car and then passing an accident that had totaled a car.

Has anyone here ever had a situation where they were concealed carrying and couldn't let the emergency personnel know you had a permit or got in a bad accident with an evil arsenal of large capacity clippy type weapons?
