The classic line by the Marine Corps in "Full Metal Jacket" can now be spoken by yours truly.

I have purchased a Ruger AR-556. I am very excited as I await its delivery so I can take it to the gun range.

I did some research on such rifles, including a few brands, and read many comments on this forum, and concluded that for a first-time AR-15 owner whose budget is limited, this product - proudly designed and manufactured in America - is a good choice.

I will later write a range report.
