Only disadvantage is they are a rabies vector -- frankly think their ability to cut down on the vectors [mosquotoes] more than makes up for that.

Let's see. Dengue. Various enchephalites. Malaria. Yellow Fever [presently not a problem here]. West Nile. Chickamunga. Zika. And some more I'm probably forgetting. Oops, heart worm disease in dogs.

Make the bat houses small. Cuts down on bat diseases and the potentiality of spreading them to humans. People have been known to catch rabies after going into a bat cave and inhaling/having everything falling down on them. But you need a large concentration to really worry about that.
