Probably not a lot of Nevada members here as if it's SHTF time NV is probably not the best place to be.
HOT in the summer and COLD in the winter without a lot of water, natural forage, or cover.

Even our native tribes were not considered particularly successful back in the day. Their diet was miserable, their clothing and shelter primitive even by the standards of other tribes.

There are some liveable area's but the yearly temps do tend to be a bit extreme, the growing season short, and there is little infrastructure in the area to exploit for very long.
The major cities would be bad, very bad.
