vaccines

Have any of you asked your healthcare providers for vaccines that are usually given only to certain higher risk people. Like rabies, typhoid, hep B, yellow fever, malaria, etc?

If so, did you tell them you were planning a trip abroad or tell them the truth?

I think my doc would give me reasonable vaccines if I told her why I want them (I don't know about rabies) but I don't know if my insurance company would pay for them. I'd like to hear your thoughts.
