I picked up a box of 62 grain american eagle 5.56 ,a box of 55 grain American eagle 5.56 and a box of Winchester 55 grain 5.56, I'm gonna shoot them all through my new colt 6920 to see how reliable it is overall. What I'm wondering is what's the difference between target and defensive use? Out of the ammo I picked up ,is any of it decent? Choosing ammo is a lot worse then choosing rifles lol I'm storing 30% of all ammo I buy every time I buy it for shtf/emergency use. Can target ammo or FMJ be used for self defense effectivly?
