Hard copy of the Bible in the EDC...

On you-tube I see a lot of people packing a paper version of the bible in their EDC bag.
Now ether you have a very small print (front) and very thin paper or you have the wight of a brick in your bag.
If I would pack some book of this size I would go for a digital version on an e-reader of even on the phone.
On an e-reader or tablet one could store additional information.
And whit a solar charger and power bank you are fine.
On the + side:
less wight, bigger print (fort), tons of information that does not have extra wight.
On the – side:
It is hi-tech so it can fail on you. I have the SAS survival guide on my phone if my phone thinks it can swim I lose the data.
Would this be the main reason tot pack a paper copy or are there emotional reasons to?
