Make apple pie filling, put plastic wrap in a pie pan then fill with prepared filling, freeze it, remove frozen-not-cooked but pie-shaped filling from pan, wrap and put in the freezer. When ready for pie, just make crust shell and slip frozen filling in, let thaw a bit, then bake. (It doesn't need complete thawing.)
