First Aid tip, cut/splinter under fingernail.

I was reaching for a door knob on a older house today and my fingernail caught the edge of the trim and I wedged some paint chips under that nail. OUCH!!

Having sustained an similar injury in the past, I knew it was something that doesn't heal quickly and is usually uncomfortable for several days.

Here's what I suggest.
Clean out the debris with water or peroxide. Make sure all is out, use a soft brush, like a soft bristle tooth brush, or nail brush if necessary. That is pretty standard but . . .

What I did extra today was, after letting dry, I used some Liquid Bandage (super glue?) I have used this on hangnails in the past with good results but I was amazed that this seemed to heal instantly. After a minute or so it was hard to remember which finger had been injured. YMMV
