Scope advice

Don't laugh but I've but my Tasco Pronghorn 3-9X40 has served me well and I'm blown away with the price and quality but recently I've had some issues getting my rifle sighted in and I think I have a handle on it but I'm thinking about upgrading slightly to a Tasco World Class 3-9x40 or taking the big leap and going with a Nikon Buckmaster II 4-12x40.

I'm financially sound but it pains me to spend over a $100 on a scope, at the same time I'm curious to see if I notice much of a difference.
