Weapons for SHTF: What are your primary and secondary ranged weapons, and melee (h2h

I prefer an AR in 300BO with a spare 5.56 upper. For a deeper woods dive, hog hunting, or longer term I might go with an AR-10 as well.

For transition fire I prefer a semi-auto pistol. This varies, could be a Glock, could be a 1911 or some other pistol. When I am out and about I tend to carry a smaller lighter pistol. When home walking around the place the 1911 is favored.

For a blade I prefer a Gerber 06 Auto - Tanto, Fine Edge auto opening knife. It is a useful knife and fast and easy to bring in to play.

I have had this knife and the drop point brother for about ten years and have zero complaints. They are practically indestructible.

For a heavier fixed blade knife in the woods I like LMF II. They are even more indestructible. They come with a handy sheath and can be used in a variety of ways such as a spear point.

If we are hip deep in zombies I will grab a sword or a machete.
